Keller Falls

Experimenting with shutter speed to get that dreamy, creamy water. I think these were in shutter priority mode, rather than manual.
F/22, 1/3 sec, ISO 200, Manual Priority
F16, 1/3 sec, ISO 200, Manual Priority
F/11, 1/4 sec, ISO 200, Shutter Priority

Skagit Love

I LOVE the Skagit Valley when the tulip fields are in bloom. There's nothing that quite compares to the huge swathes of colors blending into each other.

The display garden at Roozengaard is always stunning!

Oooh, I won a prize!!

Arte y Pico

Norco5 (and you know who you are!) awarded me this prize, because she likes my macros and is trying to soften me up for a surprise visit. Come on down, I say!!
Once you receive the award the idea is to send this on to 5 other bloggers whose blogging inspires you.
Hard to pick only 5, but here are 5 of the ones I frequent...and am trying to not copy Norco5's list, because some of mine are on hers.

AmyM, because I love her macros and the way she sees things.

Finsup (becky), because she makes me laugh and I enjoy her creativity.

Michym(lauren), my macro idol...who is patient and willing to work with newbies and not make us feel incompetent, and who has incredible talent.

PeriwinkleEye (ML), my shooting buddy, my compatriot, my enabler: I love how differently we see the same things!

MaineMom (Tracey)--she doesn't have a blog, but I always look forward to her posts in the gallery. She lives in a gorgeous area, and has a real eye for capturing it.

ENOUGH already!!!

Come ON! It's mid-April. It's supposed to be sunny, warm, dry--not snowing! I am SOOOO tired of winter -- whine, whine, whine. Where's all this global warming we keep hearing about?

Drips and Drops

Lots of wet weather, and lots of raindrops clinging to things. I love the way the new leaves are encased in the waterdrop below, making a magic wand out of the branch...
The water drop on top of the emerging poppy blossom almost looks like a marble...
Daffodil blossom and deck railing show up in these drops...
Rain and dew on a pansy petal...

Love the way the drips between the leaves sags and droops...I almost wondered if it was slug slime. I know...ewwww, ick!!!

Who knew???

That Iowa had cool things other than old barns??? These were in downtown Des Moines. The giant trowel is appropriately across the street from the headquarters of Better Homes and Gardens. LOL!! I almost shrieked when I saw this piece. It is SOOOOOOOO cool, and is right next to the public library--again, appropriately placed. It is big enough to walk in--SO neat! Maybe next trip I can get there when the sun is at the right angle and get some alphabet shadows!
