The Girlies were so disappointed when we all explained to them that Uncle D wasn't going to be able to come out for Christmas since he couldn't get enough time off work. Of course, we all know that Christmas is all about surprises.... Christmas Eve B and L had to "run to the store", and after they got back home the front door bell rang. The girls stampeded to the door because there had been treats being delivered, and they wanted to get the next plateful. The shrieks of excitement and joy when they opened the door and found Uncle D (also known as Stinkpot) standing there were music to my ears. The party had started!! They sure do love their Uncle D.
Trying to get this crew to hold still long enough for a photo (make that snapshot) was a challenge.

Oh, that sounds wonderful Pat! Glad you were all able to be together for the holidays :)
Sweet! You captured the ear to ear smiles, and the twinkle in Uncle D's eyes! Wonderful surprise!
And Pat, you made me giggle with you comment on my blog. When you mentioned "fiddling rabbit", at first I thought you were talking about rabbit ears on a TV for reception, in response to my Sirius mention! And how cool that you have the same ornament! My husband bargained long and hard to get this ornament for me, during a Christmas party many years ago, where everyone exchanged gifts, "stealing from each other", as we took turns opening the presents, until he secured it for me!
this warms my heart! truly the epitome of "a picture is worth a thousand words"...and memories...
you were a great 'capturer' of the moment!
so cute :)
A Hallmark moment to be sure, and I think you captured it beautifully.
Awwww so sweet!! They all look so happy to see each other!!
Yay! Sounds like a great surprise for them!
