I love sweet gum trees...being the very last trees to change, we often are treated to wonderful multi-color displays even in December. My neighbor's tree is finally (yes finally, the first week of December) turning, and it stopped raining today, so I quickly grabbed some shots. I like to think of sweet gums as Nature's Christmas decorations.
Yellows, oranges, reds, burgundies, greens....all on the same tree. What a treat! I can just hear the Tree-Color Fairy "Oh, I like all these colors! I can't decide which one to use....let's just put them all on the same tree!"
